Mangaroa Farms Harvest Festival — Sat 21st March 2026 | 10AM - 3PM
Join us on Saturday 21st March from 10am–3pm for our Harvest Festival — a special launch event in partnership with Upper Hutt Food Week. It’ll be a little different from our usual Open Days: more stalls, more food, and more of our community involved. Expect fresh local produce, regenerative farm tours, kai tastings, nature play for tamariki, a Pumpkin Competition, and more.

You're invited to a special evening of soothing, uplifting, tragic, epic Bach cello suites, played by Paul van Houtte, on his 16th century cello, with support from Carlos Riegel on classical guitar. This month we’re diving into the world of food forests with two short documentaries from Happen Films:
The Food Forest Farmers (Permadynamics) – an inspiring look at syntropic farming in Aotearoa and how it transforms land, food, and community.

Cacao & Aromatherapy Candle-Making
Discover the beauty of natural scent and the therapeutic power of essential oils in this hands-on workshop. This beautiful experience will be an invitation to slow down and reconnect with your senses. Learn the art of scent layering and with Melanie’s guidance, design a blend that reflects your own unique energy and intention. You’ll be taken through the process of making your own clean-burning aromatherapy candle, infused with the blend you’ve created. Join Carlos Riegel and Mangaroa Farms for a collaborative music experience. Whether you love to sing, drum, play an instrument, or simply listen to music, there’s a place for you. Bring a song to share, your favorite instrument (don’t worry if you don’t have one, there’ll be plenty for all), and lets have fun! No musical experience is necessary—just an open heart and a willingness to participate.

Utilize the breath to help shed inner layers and make room for change within your life. Tap into your body's innate inner intelligence and find the areas that need clearing. Your experience may result in different forms of cathartic emotional releases such as laughing, moving, crying, yelling, and shaking. All forms of expression are encouraged.
Rest Within: A One-Day Yoga Retreat
Exploring the Five Layers of Self – From Body to Bliss A One-Day Yoga Retreat Take a gentle step inward and reconnect with your whole self in this nourishing day retreat inspired by the ancient wisdom of the Koshas — the five energetic layers that make up your being: body, breath, mind, insight, and bliss. Through movement, reflection, and deep rest, we’ll journey inward from the outermost physical layer to the innermost space of stillness and joy. ✨ What to Expect: Morning Movement Practice Awaken and energize the body with an embodied, grounding yoga flow. Tree Planting at Mangaroa Farms
Planting on a new flat planting near the Mangaroa River, part of the ongoing biodiversity and riparian restoration at Mangaroa. You will be part of a supportive group of volunteers helping put upto 2000 plants in the ground and set this site on its restoration journey - supporting our water quality and bird life.
