(SOLD OUT) Return to the Wild | Foraging & Herbal Workshop with Urth Apothecary

NZ$85.00

To celebrate Spring Equinox & the return of the sun, join Tamsin of Urth Apothecary for a foraging & medicine making experience.

Equinox is the point where dark and light are in equal balance, as the midpoint between the darkness of winter and peak of light in Summer. It is the moment that the scales tip, the land begins to awaken and we welcome the lighter days!

This is a powerful time to take notice of the seasonal shifts happening all around us. The leaves are beginning to sprout from their slumber, and the flowers are beginning to blossom. Abundant wild & resilient medicinal weeds are all around us! These are the untamed medicines of the Earth.

The day will begin with a kawakawa tea ceremony, highlighting the intentions of the workshop, and outlining ethical harvesting practices. We will then go on a foraging walk around the regenerating lands of Mangaroa farms, to learn about the seasonal plants growing all around us that we can use for food and medicine. There is an option to harvest some as we walk to create a makeshift herbarium to remember your new plant allies (bring your journal if you'd like to do so!).

We will then gather to co-create a medicinal wild weed spring tonic to take home. The day will conclude with a light vegetarian lunch infused with wild herbs.

Please bring a journal & pen, scissors, and a basket if you have one.
