General

Our Delivery Systems

We are working with NZ Post to endeavour to deliver your orders within the specified delivery targets.

Cutoff Times

Cutoff times for same week delivery / pickup is 12pm Wednesdays. Any orders after this time will be sent the following week.

Delivery Days

We currently distribute weekly on Thursday mornings. For frozen delivery customers (*Greater Wellington only) - your order will arrive on Thursday afternoon/evening.

For defrosted overnight customers (north island), your order will arrive anytime on a Friday.

Pickup Times

By selecting “Pick up” at checkout, the customer agrees to pick up their order at the hours below:
Thursday 10am - 5pm
Friday 11am - 5pm
Saturday 9am - 5pm
Sunday 10am - 5pm
Wed 11am - 5pm.

Shelf life

All of our meat products are dispatched frozen, and if they arrive still frozen, can be kept in the freezer for 6-12 months. Noticeably thawed meat is not recommended to re-freeze, rather put in the refrigerator and consume within 5 days.

If your box arrives and the contents are warm please do not consume the contents, please advise us immediately.

On your payment receipt:

The name that will appear on your statement will be MANGAROA FARMS

Payment currency

Your account will be charged in NZ Dollars.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the perishable nature of our products we are unable to accept cancellations of orders less than 1 working day before the delivery date. Please contact shop@mangaroa.org if you need assistance.

Purchase Policy & Order Cutoff Times

All orders for same week delivery need to be placed by midnight on Wednesdays.

Changes to Terms

If we need to change these terms we will make every reasonable effort to let you know.

Price and Price Changes

All prices are NZ dollars. Price changes will be clearly specified on the website and we will make every reasonable effort to notify the buyer at least one week prior to the change.

Credit Card / Online Payments

Payments are processed through Stripe. Credit card information is not stored by us. Your card will be charged when your order is packed (with finalised meat variable sizes). Payment details must be received prior to orders being shipped.

Refunds

If you are unhappy with any of our products we will offer a replacement item. If the issue cannot be resolved we will refund the payment.

Stewardship

Mangaroa Farms is a registered non-profit, limited company, wholly owned by the Biome Trust.

Are you looking for:

  • We currently ship to the greater Wellington region with the option of frozen delivery. This area is from Upper Hutt to Wellington Peninsula & Porirua.

    Overnight spreads across the North Island. Meat is sent in chill packaging to keep it cool (however may arrive partially defrosted).

    *Unfortunately we cannot ship to rural addresses OR anywhere in the South Island.

  • We ship all of our meat products frozen.

    Same day deliveries in the Wellington region should arrive still frozen - however, overnight north island deliveries may arrive partially defrosted.

    If there is still visibly ice on the meat, (and it still appears frozen) it should be safe to refreeze.

    However, if the meat is noticeably thawed, we do not recommend re-freezing, instead to place in the fridge and consume within 5 days.

  • We currently distribute weekly on Thursday mornings. For express same-day delivery customers (*Greater Wellington only) - your order will arrive on Thursday afternoon/evening.

    For overnight customers (north island), your order will arrive anytime on a Friday.

  • When our new season meat is processed, it is frozen immediately. Because of this, some of our labels suggest a best before date which is meant for "fresh meat" - however, since the meat is frozen immediately - you can safely add up to 1 year on to this b/b date.

    Don't worry - we wouldn't send you a dodgy product!

  • We love to re-use our packaging when possible! If your original packaging has not been spoiled, it is fine to return it to us. Yes, this includes flattened boxes, chill packs and wool insulation. More information here.

  • Please place your order before midnight Wednesdays to receive your order same week.

    Orders placed after this time will be sent the following week.
