Earthworkers Hort 101 - Pōneke, growing a resilient future

  • Mangaroa Farms 298 Whitemans Valley Road Upper Hutt, Wellington, 5371 New Zealand (map)

Register to become part of Earthworkers Hort 101 this July hosted over five days over four Wellington growing hubs including Innermost Gardens , @kaicyclewgtn, Mahinga Kai and @mangaroafarms. Giving participants the opportunity to learn how regenerative biology-first systems can be integrated at all scales of production from small whanau based mara kai to large scale operations.

This course is being supported by Wellington City Council through Te Anamata ā Kai, a coordinated, integrated approach to supporting a sustainable, equitable, and resilient food system in Wellington. This approach creates a pathway for WCC to foster a Hua Parakore group of future practitioners. In doing so it looks to generate a legacy of learning that will show up in projects in the coming years.

For the Love of Bees has been teaching this introductory course since 2020 and now supports over 200 growers across New Zealand via their post course mentoring network. In 2025 FTLOB will launch their advanced course which will enable growers to deepen their knowledge and create a pathway for those interested in becoming biology-first regenerative agronomists. Earthworkers Hort 101 gives you entry into these advanced courses.
