System Operations Lead

Mangaroa Farms is looking for a Systems Operations lead for a part time role.

Part-time | ~10 hours per week

This role is part hybrid, part on-site, so we’re looking to hire in the Wellington region.

Mangaroa Farms is a regenerative farm in Upper Hutt, New Zealand with a strong nexus around ecological restoration, place-based learning, and land stewardship. The Systems Operations Role blends hands-on problem-solving with system building and offers significant scope for growth.

The Systems Operations Lead is responsible for the stability, reliability, and clarity of Mangaroa Farms’ digital and technical infrastructure, ensuring that each department can operate effectively without relying on ad-hoc problem solving or informal knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Systems Stability & Maintenance

• Maintain and monitor core digital systems, including:
  

• CRM

• Shopify inventory management and automations

• Meat inventory management

• Shop technology & POS

• Event booking and database tools

• Accommodation booking platforms

• Internal comms and workflow tools

• General reporting support for accounting/finance team

• Resolve technical issues and system errors in a timely, documented manner.

• Manage updates, integrations, and vendor relationships.
  
  

Technology Experience Required

• Shopify & Shopify POS

• Airtable (database structuring, automations)

• Google Sheets & G Suite / Google Docs

• AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude or similar)

• Zapier, Make or other automation workflow capability

Coding experience or understanding preferred (HTML, JavaScript).
