Regenerative Garden Tour

NZ$20.00

Join Mangaroa Farms for our classic Market Garden tour. See how we grow, connect with community, and learn something new.

To start, we’ll meet at the Mangaroa Farm Shop / Kete Kai at 98 Whitemans Valley Road, Upper Hutt 5371.

Here, one of our friendly guides will take you on a 45-minute tour through our stunning market garden, including a visit to our Wash & Pack area, where you'll see how the produce is cleaned and prepared. You'll also explore our tunnel house and gain insight into our regenerative growing practices.

This immersive meander through the garden operation will give you a clear understanding of what we are growing, the methods we use to do so, and perhaps how you could implement these strategies at home or your own community garden.

There will be time for a short Q & A with one of our garden team, who will be able to provide details and experience, plus answer any specialty garden related questions.

All guests will have a chance to visit our Farm Shop / Kete Kai (open 11am - 5pm) to collect farm goods to take home with them.

As an additional experience, our Farm Loop walk is available to tour guests. To do the whole loop is about 3.5km across farmland and along the beautiful Mangaroa river. An accessible and shorter option is to walk approximately 1km (round trip) to the top of the hill on the farm, and turn around and return to the shop. Please note that the Farm Loop is not accessible for wheelchairs or other special requirements. The track is made of thick gravel stones and is very step in places.
