Mangaroa Farms Open Day | Nov 2024

We’re taking a moment to acknowledge the huge Open Day weekend at Mangaroa Farms 🙌🏽🌿🌻

We welcomed over 1000 people through the gate, many of whom enjoyed themselves listening to live music in the tipi, dabbled in some tree planting, watched fencing, felting, sheep shearing, took part in kids games, and enjoying our famous lamb buns. It was a great day out there to experience and authentic farm day out with the whānau.

We were stoked to sell out of $15 garden tour slots, with Cam, Tyler and the team giving 120 people a premium tour of our soil philosophy and market garden operation. The Mangaroa Farms team + local volunteers worked like a well oiled machine to pump out over 450x locally produced lunches with our Mangaroa smoked lamb, sausages, & roast veges & locally baked bread from Jean Louis.

Big gratitude to our collaborators and market stallholders, our music from Carlos & Nikau, and extra thanks to Paul and Boneface Upper Hutt for smoking the meat. And a huge thanks to our events coordinator Amy and the many hands of the Mangaroa Farms team who held it all together.
